Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wendell Sailor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lazar Nimirov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sailor's entrance music is Blackalicious - It's Going Down. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sailor just misses with a punch to the body.
Sailor connects with a crisp jab.

It looks like Lazar Nimirov has been cut.
Nimirov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sailor's waist but Sailor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nimirov off to one side.
Nimirov fails to land the takedown.
Sailor misses the shot to the body.
Sailor fails to land with a series of punches.
Sloppy strikes from Sailor. Those never looked like landing.
A head kick by Sailor misses
and Nimirov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sailor misses with a hook. Nimirov ducked under it nicely.

Sailor wants to control but Nimirov is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Nimirov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nimirov lands a nice short elbow.
Nimirov not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Sailor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Nimirov drops an elbow to the side of Sailor's head.
Nimirov is nestled in close to Sailor, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Nimirov looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Nimirov seems to be working for a kimura but Sailor defends the submission attempt.

Nimirov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sailor with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sailor has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nimirov is working away from the top position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nimirov connects with a nice short shot to Sailor's temple.

Nimirov seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sailor is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
