Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raje Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raje Malapitan! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie thows a body shot but no joy. Gracie looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Malapitan has wrist control. Malapitan keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Malapitan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard. Malapitan preventing the sweep. Malapitan scoring with some ground and pound. Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gracie wants to sweep but no luck. Malapitan tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard. Malapitan trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Malapitan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malapitan trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gracie working a defensive guard here.
Malapitan advances position into side control! Malapitan tries for a kimura but Gracie is defending well. Gracie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Malapitan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Malapitan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gracie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gracie tries to buck Malapitan off but Malapitan is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie sneaks back into half guard. Gracie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Malapitan. Malapitan throwing shots but Gracie is blocking nicely. Gracie actively working from the bottom here. Gracie looking for submissions off his back. Gracie is in trouble now - Malapitan has advanced to mount! Gracie is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at >TAPOUT ELITE< , so we'll see if he gets out of it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Malapitan with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Malapitan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gracie can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Gracie is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Gracie is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Malapitan tries to control but Gracie wriggling away. Gracie can't escape the position.
Malapitan lands a couple of good shots and Gracie has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Malapitan is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Malapitan gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Malapitan gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Malapitan apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Bruce Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt and Malapitan counters with a left and a right that stings Gracie. Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Malapitan counters with a nice uppercut. Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Malapitan counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gracie has his takedown stuffed and Malapitan counters with a straight punch to the midsection. The fighters circling - Gracie throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt and Malapitan counters with a three punch combo that has Gracie backing up. Gracie nods at Malapitan to acknowledge the strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gracie fails with the takedown. Gracie is breathing heavily. Malapitan lands with a cross. Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Malapitan counters with a nice body shot. Gracie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Malapitan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Gracie fails with the takedown and Malapitan counters with a flying knee. Nice. Malapitan throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard. Malapitan controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raje Malapitan dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Malapitan but Malapitan pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gracie fails with the takedown and Malapitan counters with a lovely shot to the body. Gracie with a poor takedown and Malapitan counters with a two punch combo. Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Malapitan which made him look bad. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Malapitan swinging wildly here.

Malapitan looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well. Gracie shoots and misses and Malapitan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Malapitan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Malapitan closes the distance and lands a one-two. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Malapitan is trying to keep Gracie in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Malapitan breaks from Gracie's wrist control and lands an elbow. Gracie is squirming around, avoiding Malapitan's attempts to control the action. Malapitan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gracie can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Gracie is rocked! Malapitan tries to control but Gracie wriggling away. Gracie is looking to improve his position but Malapitan isn't that keen on the idea. Malapitan lands a nice shot to the head. Oh Gracie is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Malapitan working Gracie over with strikes here. Gracie gets back to half guard. Raje Malapitan has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Malapitan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gracie seems to have got his legs back now. Malapitan is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Malapitan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Malapitan's back! You can see the frustration on Malapitan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Malapitan trying to control the hands but Gracie won't let him. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gracie is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Malapitan defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Gracie punches the canvas rather than the man. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raje Malapitan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gracie. Gracie walks into a jab. Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Malapitan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Gracie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Malapitan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gracie dives in and grabs Malapitan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Malapitan pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt and Malapitan counters with a stiff right hand. Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Malapitan.

Raje Malapitan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Malapitan lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Malapitan does a little dance to reset his feet. Gracie fails with the takedown and Malapitan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gracie throws a shot from downtown. Malapitan moves away and avoids it. Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Malapitan.

Bruce Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Malapitan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that's the end of the fight! Raje Malapitan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Malapitan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
