Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Agamemnon Coon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Alvarez. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Johnny Johnson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 18 - 2, fighting out of New York, Agamemnon Coon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
37 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Johnson! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coon throws a hook to the side of Johnson's head but Johnson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Coon throws a quick inside leg kick. Coon avoids the body shot from Johnson.
Coon scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Johnny Johnson has been cut. Coon fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Johnson is out of range. Johnson lands with a hook. Coon tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Coon is defended easily by Johnson. Johnson moves away from the strike by Coon. Johnson throws a good cross that connects.
Johnson blocks a jab. Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coon tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coon to the ground. Coon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coon lands a front kick. Decent striking displayed by Coon there. Coon misses with a lunging right hand
and Johnson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Coon blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Coon blocks an uppercut.
Johnson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Johnson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Johnson tries a body shot but Coon blocks it.
Johnson tries to work over Coon's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Johnson prevents a takedown attempt there.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Coon is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Agamemnon Coon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson lands a left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson misses with a short punch on the inside. Johnson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Coon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Johnson pulls him back up using the underhooks. A head punch on the inside from Johnson fails to land. Coon has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Johnson after a bit of a struggle. Johnson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Coon drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Coon has Johnson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Johnson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Coon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Johnson pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Coon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely. Coon throws a right hand that misses
and Johnson counters with a left to the body. Johnson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Coon works the jab nicely. Decent striking displayed by Johnson there. Coon throws a jab when Johnson was well out of range. Coon jabbing away but nothing is landing. Coon lands a head kick. Johnson smiles back at him and beckons him forward. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Coon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Coon shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Coon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Johnson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Coon. Coon is breathing heavily. Johnson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A left lands for Johnson. Coon on the wrong end of a nice jab. Johnson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Coon had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Johnson throws a leg kick but Coon checks it. Jab by Johnson.
Coon is rocked! Coon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Johnson explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Johnson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johnny Johnson's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Coon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johnson. Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Coon. Coon gets slowly back to his feet. Johnson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Coon to score an easy takedown into full guard. Johnson controls Coon momentarily but Coon frees himself. Johnson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Coon postures up in Johnson's guard and throws a big left but Johnson blocks it. Coon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Coon trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coon preventing the sweep. Coon postures up.
Coon looking to sit in guard and control but Johnson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Coon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Coon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there. Johnson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Coon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Coon pulls Johnson in to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Coon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coon takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Horrible takedown by Coon or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Coon on the wrong end of a nice jab. Johnson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Johnson thuds his shin into the meat of Coon's side. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Coon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Johnson. Coon looks up at the clock. Bad move! Johnson lands a right hand from hell, dropping Coon. Johnson pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
