Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Khalidov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to PIERSI - Bałkanica. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Khalidov counters with a takedown into side control.
Rodrigues tries to bench press Khalidov off him but Khalidov keeps the position.
Khalidov wants to control but Rodrigues is keeping him busy.
Rodrigues is trying to control Khalidov's posture but Khalidov avoids it.
Khalidov taking a break here but Rodrigues is having none of it and regains half guard.

Rodrigues fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Khalidov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Khalidov is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rodrigues gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Khalidov goes for a takedown attempt but Rodrigues pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Rodrigues bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Khalidov's guard.

Khalidov has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rodrigues off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Rodrigues tries to close the distance and clinch but Khalidov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rodrigues shoots in looking for a takedown. Khalidov tries to sprawl out of it but Rodrigues keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Khalidov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Khalidov throws a nice looking combination but Rodrigues bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Khalidov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rodrigues tries to avoid it but Khalidov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rodrigues to the ground. Rodrigues escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Khalidov wants to clinch up but Rodrigues keeps it at a distance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rodrigues avoids a punch combination nicely.
Khalidov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Rodrigues is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Khalidov has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Khalidov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rodrigues, who protects the arm well.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Khalidov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
