Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul McCracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Glover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeff Glover!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for McCracken.
McCracken tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Glover counters by moving into the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Glover fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Glover gets control of McCracken's arms and successfully pulls guard. Glover will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
McCracken stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Glover swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McCracken looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
McCracken trying to move into half guard but instead Glover has managed to sweep!
McCracken looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Glover accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Glover throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McCracken works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Glover told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Glover postures up in McCracken's guard and throws a big left but McCracken blocks it.
Glover wants to control from the top but McCracken keeps moving.

Glover drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Glover jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McCracken utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Glover drops back looking for a leg! McCracken is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McCracken manages to kick Glover off! Glover jumps back into McCracken's guard.

Glover slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Glover is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McCracken is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
McCracken wants to control but Glover postures up.

Glover is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McCracken has escaped the position, nice work there.

Glover wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McCracken, who protects the arm well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Glover has an Americana. McCracken didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Glover is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Glover hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jeff Glover!
