Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Carrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Black skinhead. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carrick fails with a takedown attempt.
James closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. James will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Well, if James is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight� I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza� Yum. Can't wait.
Carrick is trying to maintain the position but James is very close to passing his half guard. Carrick wants to improve his position but James is controlling well.
Carrick pushes James off looking to stand but James dives back in and keeps control.
Carrick blocking the ground and pound attempt from James. James tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Carrick. Carrick is trying to maintain the position but James is very close to passing his half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. James wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carrick keeps working.
 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Carrick leaves James with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. James tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Carrick defends well and James ends up having to push Carrick into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Carrick gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from James.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon James. That's going to take a lot out of him. James tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Carrick goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
James tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Carrick smiles and moves away.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. James throws a head kick that misses. James is breathing heavily.
Carrick closes the distance and pushes James back into the cage. James tries to land knees in the clinch but Carrick avoids the damage to the body.
Carrick jumps guard.
James prevents Carrick from getting back to his feet. James trying to control but Carrick is working from the bottom. Carrick is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
James decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. James has a takedown stuffed.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. James tries to work over Carrick's front leg with a kick but Carrick checks it. Carrick looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Carrick goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. James stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and James wants it to stay on the feet. A punch combination from Carrick misses. Carrick keeps the fight on the outside. Carrick dodges the punch combination from James.
Carrick throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. James was covering up waiting for the punch and Carrick finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Carrick gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Carrick pushes James up against the cage in a clinch. Carrick wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Carrick decides to pull guard.
Carrick wriggles free and stands up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carrick shoots and misses and James counters with a nice uppercut. Carrick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. James keeps the fight on the outside. Nice sprawl there from James as Carrick shoots in. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carrick misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carrick slaps away a takedown attempt from James, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Carrick darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Carrick dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
 The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Carrick moves in looking to clinch but James pushes him off. James shoots and misses
and Carrick moves into the clinch. Carrick is trying to drag James to the mat but James just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Carrick blocks an elbow strike from James.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Carrick. James is struggling to control the position. Carrick wants a takedown.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. James tries to clinch there but Carrick circles away.
James shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carrick as he jumps to the side. James throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Carrick counters with a head kick that drops James to the mat! James scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carrick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but James was well out of range. Poor timing from Carrick. Carrick comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jon James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carrick shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jon James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Carrick.
Carrick feints and as James raises his hands in defense, Carrick changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Carrick trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carrick seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. James wants to sweep but no luck. Carrick is in close to James's body, working some short punches and elbows. Carrick works over James with some ground and pound from guard. Carrick is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
James has his foot on Carrick's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carrick works his way back into a safe position though. Carrick controls from within his opponent's guard. Carrick pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. James is keeping the position for now.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Carrick is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
 The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Aaron Carrick.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Carrick breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Carrick lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and James has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from James and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Carrick has taken the fight to the clinch.
Carrick is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but James is defending well. Carrick throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jamess head.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. James working aggressively here.
Carrick drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carrick pushes James off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Carrick throws a head kick that misses.
Carrick shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in James's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. James looking to control.
Aaron Carrick has got the better of the ground game so far. Carrick tries to free his leg and advance position but James is retaining full guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Carrick stands up and waves to James to follow him. Jon James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carrick displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from James. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Carrick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Carrick pulls guard effortlessly.
Carrick is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. James is looking to stand up but Carrick won't let him. Carrick looking to hit a scissor sweep but James is one step ahead there. Carrick has his hands on James's head, controlling the position.
Carrick scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Carrick tries to keep at a distance but James has taken the fight into the clinch. James lands an elbow that stopped Carrick in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Aaron Carrick has been cut.
Carrick has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics James uses from the top position. James throws a big elbow that misses. Carrick wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. James wants to stand and escape but instead Carrick has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Carrick has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Carrick slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
 The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Aaron Carrick wasn't active enough on the ground.
Carrick closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. James quickly recovers to half guard. Carrick keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Carrick is just content to waste time from the top position. James takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Carrick trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jon James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Carrick sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed James's guard. Carrick works his foot free and advances to mount. Carrick moves to back control.
Carrick is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
And that's the end of the fight! Aaron Carrick comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Carrick has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
