Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Olivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Beaber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beaber lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Olivera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beaber pinned against the cage. Beaber gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Olivera slips a jab and a cross from Beaber.
Beaber connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Olivera momentarily.

Beaber lands a jab to Olivera's midsection.
Beaber moves in looking to clinch but Olivera pushes him off.
Beaber throws a low kick but it's checked well by Olivera.
Olivera misses with a takedown attempt - Beaber sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Olivera throws the left hand but Beaber avoids the punch easily.

Beaber stalks Olivera and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Olivera's face. Olivera staggers backwards, shaken.
Beaber darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Beaber cracks Olivera with an open hand slap.

Olivera takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Oh Olivera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Beaber fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Olivera checks it well.

Beaber tries to close the distance and clinch up but Olivera swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Olivera darts in looking for a takedown but Beaber gets double underhooks and turns Olivera into the cage.

Olivera shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Olivera showed some decent athleticism there.
Beaber felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Beaber can do anything to dispel that myth.
