Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ongka Ongka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikola Veljanovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ongka comes to the cage accompanied by Abebe. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ongka Ongka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nikola Veljanovski! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Veljanovski wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ongka prevents a body shot from Veljanovski. Veljanovski has Ongka pressed against the cage.
Veljanovski breaks from the clinch.
Ongka shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Ongka drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ongka trying to control the position but Veljanovski is working away. Veljanovski is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Ongka is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Veljanovski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ongka will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Veljanovski stops Ongka from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Ongka thowing shots but they're missing. Veljanovski wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ongka.

Ongka is keen to just control but Veljanovski is a slippery customer. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Veljanovski can do anything to dispel that myth. Veljanovski is trying to stand up here but Ongka is controlling him well.

We're going to have a standup here because Ongka Ongka wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ongka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Veljanovski utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Veljanovski tried to score with a low kick but Ongka checks it. Ongka fails to land the takedown. Ongka uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Veljanovski. Veljanovski leaves Ongka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Veljanovski tries to clinch but Ongka moves out of range. Ongka working the ground and pound but Veljanovski is defending the strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ongka working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ongka tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ongka has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Veljanovski is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Wait, no, Veljanovski rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ongka's guard! Nice work there by Veljanovski! Veljanovski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ongka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Veljanovski wants to get up but he can't break Ongka's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Ongka wants to sweep here but Veljanovski controlling him for the moment. Veljanovski trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ongka's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Veljanovski preventing the sweep. Veljanovski tries to stand but Ongka is controlling from the bottom. Ongka is trying to keep Veljanovski in close.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Nikola Veljanovski was stalling too much, according to the referee. Ongka shoots for a takedown but Veljanovski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nikola Veljanovski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Veljanovski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ongka. Ongka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Veljanovski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ongka somewhat. Ongka doesn't succeed with the takedown and Veljanovski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Veljanovski wants to get back to striking at distance but Ongka won't allow it.
Veljanovski wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ongka wants to take the fight to the mat but Veljanovski manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Ongka can't break the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ongka Ongka will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Veljanovski tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ongka manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ongka shoots in but no luck this time. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ongka is defended easily by Veljanovski. Ongka closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Veljanovski wants to get back to his feet.
Ongka looks to land a strike but Veljanovski avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Ongka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Veljanovski works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ongka drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Veljanovski dives on top into guard. Veljanovski trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ongka's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ongka wants to sweep but no luck. Veljanovski is looking to stand up but Ongka won't let him. Veljanovski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Veljanovski preventing the sweep.

Nikola Veljanovski has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Ongka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Veljanovski avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ongka Ongka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ongka shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Veljanovski but Veljanovski pushes him off and we're back to square one. Veljanovski tries to clinch up. Nikola Veljanovski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Veljanovski on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Veljanovski is looking to clinch. Veljanovski tries to clinch up but Ongka circles away and keeps his distance. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Veljanovski checks a leg kick. Veljanovski is looking to clinch. Veljanovski clinches. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Veljanovski creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Veljanovski lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ongka backwards. Veljanovski pushes Ongka back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Veljanovski working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Ongka drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Veljanovski gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Ongka pulls guard. Ongka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ongka is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Veljanovski is aware though and is defending well.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Veljanovski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ongka looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ongka Ongka wins by unanimous decision! A less than humble Ongka Ongka misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
