Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Flashy Fighterr!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sahey Ignatyev!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ignatyev throws a shot from downtown. Fighterr moves away and avoids it.
Fighterr misses with a leg kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Fighterr has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Pros ya knows in the buildup to the fight.
Ignatyev tries to score with a low kick but Fighterr moves his leg out of the way.
Ignatyev throws a jab when Fighterr was well out of range.
Ignatyev keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Ignatyev moves out of range of the body kick.
Fighterr throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fighterr walks into a jab.
Fighterr avoids the head kick by Ignatyev.
Fighterr throws a leg kick but Ignatyev checks it.
Fighterr throws a low kick but Ignatyev moves out of range easily.
Fighterr blocks a jab.
Fighterr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ignatyev is fending him off so far but Fighterr persists. Nope, Ignatyev circles away and we're back to standing.
Fighterr shoots in and drives through. Ignatyev sprawls well.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fighterr tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighterr avoiding damage as Ignatyev throws knees to the body.
Ignatyev leaning against his opponent.
Fighterr goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Ignatyev creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Fighterr's defenses.
Fighterr avoids the elbow strike from Ignatyev, against the cage.

Fighterr has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ignatyev uses from the top position.

Fighterr keeping moving, preventing Ignatyev from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ignatyev is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Sahey Ignatyev has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Ignatyev throws a jab but it's blocked by Fighterr.
Fighterr is looking to land body kicks.
Ignatyev throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fighterr checks a low kick from Ignatyev.
Ignatyev connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ignatyev fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fighterr on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fighterr shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Flashy Fighterr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ignatyev throws a looping overhand right but Fighterr ducks down to avoid it.
Fighterr tries to land a body kick
and Ignatyev counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ignatyev takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A head kick misses from Fighterr.
Ignatyev misses with a hook.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ignatyev attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Fighterr feints and as Ignatyev raises his hands in defense, Fighterr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ignatyev is pulling down on Fighterr's head. It's preventing any offense from Fighterr, at least for the moment.

Ignatyev is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Fighterr throwing strikes from guard but Ignatyev blocks nicely.
Ignatyev trying to keep a closed guard but Fighterr is proving a slippery customer.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sahey Ignatyev wasn't active enough on the ground.

Fighterr fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ignatyev to the ground. Fighterr is now in Ignatyev's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Fighterr trying to control the position from guard on top but Ignatyev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ignatyev looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ignatyev keeping full guard, as Fighterr tries to pass.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sahey Ignatyev.
Fighterr is looking to land body kicks.
Fighterr throws a head kick that misses.

Fighterr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ignatyev sprawls well initially but Fighterr persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sahey Ignatyev dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Fighterr shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ignatyev napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Fighterr has hold of Ignatyev's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ignatyev seems comfortable defending it but Fighterr has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ignatyev is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ignatyev is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Fighterr couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Flashy Fighterr!
