Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Baraka Simengwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Loholt Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simengwa comes to the ring accompanied by Afande Sele feat Ditto - Darubini kali. Pendragon has chosen Counting Stars as his entrance music. Baraka Simengwa had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baraka Simengwa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Loholt Pendragon! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Pendragon misses the target. Baraka Simengwa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Simengwa tries to close the distance and clinch but Pendragon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Simengwa takes the fight into the clinch. Simengwa pulls guard. Simengwa seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Simengwa wants to sweep here but Pendragon controlling him for the moment. Simengwa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Simengwa is pulling down on Pendragon's head. It's preventing any offense from Pendragon, at least for the moment. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Pendragon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Simengwa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Simengwa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pendragon is aware though and is defending well. Simengwa is trying to control the position but Pendragon postures up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pendragon throws a big right hand that misses. Pendragon looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Pendragon wants to control from the top but Simengwa keeps moving. Simengwa controls Pendragon momentarily but Pendragon frees himself.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Pendragon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Simengwa is fighting to maintain full guard but Pendragon has managed to sneak the leg through. Pendragon is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Simengwa tries to lock up and control but Pendragon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Pendragon in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pendragon working his ground and pound in the gym. Simengwa tries to hold on but Pendragon postures up. Simengwa working to try and regain half guard.
Pendragon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Simengwa looks a forlorn figure.
Pendragon lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pendragon with good strikes from the mount here! Pendragon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Simengwa is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pendragon avoids the attempt from Simengwa to control. Pendragon in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Pendragon tries to control but Simengwa wriggling away. Pendragon working Simengwa over with strikes here. Pendragon lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Simengwa is rocked! Pendragon is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Simengwa has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Oh Simengwa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's five minutes gone in the round. Pendragon is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Simengwa can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Pendragon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Simengwa is looking to escape. Simengwa is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Simengwa tries to lock up and control but Pendragon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Simengwa seems to have got his legs back now. Pendragon breaks from Simengwa's wrist control and lands an elbow. Simengwa is looking to get to half guard. Pendragon looking to control but Simengwa is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Simengwa is desperately trying to improve his position but Pendragon has a good base and remains in mount. Simengwa is working hard here to advance position. The referee warns Simengwa that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pendragon loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Simengwa scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Pendragon land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Pendragon stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Loholt Pendragon! An out of breath Loholt Pendragon thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
