Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Uvol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big Bud!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bud gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Uvol to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Uvol throws a big elbow that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Uvol accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bud has his foot on Uvol's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Uvol works his way back into a safe position though.
Uvol with a nice head shot there.
Uvol got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bud has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Uvol has managed to get both his arms back between Bud's legs - danger averted.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Uvol missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Uvol throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Uvol postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Uvol is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at LOD: EUOLUCAO MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Uvol trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Uvol stands up over Bud, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Uvol avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Uvol is working Bud over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Uvol lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Uvol with a flurry of punches that miss.
Uvol landing with the ground and pound.
Uvol is sitting in close to Bud's body. Bud has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Uvol is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Uvol is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bud.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Big Bud!
Big Bud bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
Paul Uvol spoke after the fight, saying 'All I can do at this point is go back to the gym & fix the holes in my game & come back stronger next time. Im here to entertain'.
