8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Guran Tkeshelashvili! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.

Tkeshelashvili shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brownstone pinned against the cage. Brownstone gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Tkeshelashvili wants to control the action here but instead Brownstone manages to pass to full mount! Tkeshelashvili can't escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brownstone wants to control but Tkeshelashvili is keeping him busy. Brownstone slips a nice elbow through Tkeshelashvili's hands, connecting with Tkeshelashvili's forehead. Brownstone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tkeshelashvili's head. Brownstone thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Tkeshelashvili manages to escape and get back to his feet! Brownstone shoots for a takedown but Tkeshelashvili saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tkeshelashvili shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Brownstone eats them both and turns towards Tkeshelashvili to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Dan Brownstone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tkeshelashvili throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brownstone. Tkeshelashvili changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brownstone tries to avoid it but Tkeshelashvili manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brownstone to the ground. Brownstone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tkeshelashvili fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brownstone sprawls well initially but Tkeshelashvili persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Brownstone's coaches at Warrior BJJ and Fitness have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Tkeshelashvili looks winded! This has been an exciting period of action! Brownstone tries to get to full guard but Tkeshelashvili has control of the leg.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tkeshelashvili cracks Brownstone with a solid left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tkeshelashvili fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brownstone avoids it really well and circles away. Brownstone feints and then cracks Tkeshelashvili's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tkeshelashvili down. Brownstone swats away the attempt to clinch by Tkeshelashvili. Horrible takedown by Tkeshelashvili or perhaps it was just good defense by Brownstone which made him look bad. Tkeshelashvili tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brownstone defends well and Tkeshelashvili ends up having to push Brownstone into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Dan Brownstone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guran Tkeshelashvili.

Brownstone is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tkeshelashvili is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Brownstone to the mat. Brownstone regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Tkeshelashvili wants to pass the guard but Brownstone is keeping the position. Tkeshelashvili trying to control the position from guard on top but Brownstone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tkeshelashvili accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tkeshelashvili not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brownstone keeping moving, preventing Tkeshelashvili from controlling successfully.
