The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckley fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sherbang avoids the head kick by Buckley.
Sherbang throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A combination from Sherbang does no damage.
Buckley blocks a head kick by Sherbang.
Sherbang tries to clinch but Buckley is having none of it.
Sherbang tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Buckley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Buckley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Buckley slaps away a takedown attempt from Sherbang, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Buckley tries to sprawl but Sherbang drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Buckley is not content to let Sherbang control the position.
Buckley looks like he's trying to stand up.
Buckley slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Buckley looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sherbang is looking to stand up but Buckley won't let him.
Buckley is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Sherbang throws a strike but Buckley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Sherbang looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buckley is one step ahead there.
Buckley is fighting to break Sherbang's control of his arms but Sherbang is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Buckley is looking to stand up but Sherbang won't let him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Buckley is refusing to be controlled, as Sherbang sits in half guard.
Buckley on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Buckley tries to get out of the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Buckley manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Sherbang controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sherbang wants to get up but he can't break Buckley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Sherbang trying to control the position from guard on top but Buckley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sherbang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buckley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sherbang tries to free his leg and advance position but Buckley is retaining full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jessie Sherbang.
Sherbang throws a push kick but Buckley slaps the foot to one side.

Sherbang has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Buckley uses from the top position.

Sherbang is wriggling around but Buckley manages to pass to half guard.
Sherbang is looking for a sweep. Buckley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Buckley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sherbang fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Buckley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sherbang.
Buckley closes the distance and pushes Sherbang back into the cage.
Buckley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Buckley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Buckley looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Sherbang is defending well. Buckley quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Sherbang has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Buckley celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
