Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Issac Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max D Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Issac Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max D Souza!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
D Souza lands a leg kick that knocks Turner off balance momentarily.
Nice sprawl there from D Souza as Turner shoots in.
D Souza shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Turner sprawls well. Turner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. D Souza gets slowly back to his feet.
D Souza fails with an attempt to clinch.
Turner misses with a combination
and D Souza counters with a stiff right hand.
Turner is looking to clinch but D Souza is avoiding it.
D Souza lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Turner circles away quickly and effectively.
Turner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Turner pushes off an throws an elbow but D Souza leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Turner has D Souza pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. D Souza manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

D Souza breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
D Souza blocks a head kick by Turner.
Turner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
D Souza leaves Turner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Issac Turner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
D Souza tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Turner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sloppy strikes there by Turner.
D Souza wants to control but Turner postures up.
D Souza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Turner fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Turner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
D Souza regains half guard, as Turner was trying to land strikes.
D Souza is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Turner trying to control the position from guard on top but D Souza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
D Souza controls Turner momentarily but Turner frees himself.
Turner passes D Souza's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

D Souza is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Turner pulls his head out easily.
Turner is looking to advance position but D Souza won't allow it.
Turner wants to lay and pray for a moment but D Souza keeps working.

D Souza is looking for a sweep. Turner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
D Souza missing with punches from the bottom.
Turner sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. D Souza defending well though.
D Souza tries to get to full guard but Turner has control of the leg.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Turner thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Issac Turner will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!



Turner looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
D Souza trying to get back to full guard but Turner takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Turner has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of D Souza's face.
D Souza tries to lock up and control but Turner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Turner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as D Souza is looking to escape.
D Souza is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Turner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Turner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Turner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down D Souza for as long as he can get away with.

Turner lands a couple of good shots and D Souza has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
D Souza is breathing heavily.
Turner slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Turner has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

D Souza can't escape the position.
Turner has good solid back control here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turner lands strikes to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Issac Turner dominated that second round.
That's time! Turner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


D Souza slaps away a takedown attempt from Turner, before circling back to the center of the mat.
D Souza fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turner manages to avoid it.
Turner shoots for a double leg takedown but D Souza sprawls well. He's pushed Turner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
D Souza keeps control of Turner as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
D Souza is trying to pull guard but Turner has him pressed against the cage.
Turner is trying to force a seperation but D Souza has the dominant position.

D Souza manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

D Souza wants to improve his position but Turner is controlling well.
Turner is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Turner wants to take a breather but D Souza is having none of it.
Turner thows a huge punch but D Souza dodges it nicely.
D Souza is staying active underneath Turner, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Turner is trying to control. D Souza wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Issac Turner.
Turner tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
D Souza tries to clinch up but Turner circles away and keeps his distance.
Turner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts D Souza as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Issac Turner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
D Souza looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turner is fending him off so far but D Souza persists. Nope, Turner circles away and we're back to standing.
D Souza takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Turner shoots in and gets a takedown into D Souza's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Turner tries to free his leg and advance position but D Souza is retaining full guard.

D Souza tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Turner is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! D Souza is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! D Souza has escaped and now he's on top!

D Souza stands and steps away. Turner gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Issac Turner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

D Souza has a takedown stuffed.
Turner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Turner throws a half hearted mid kick.
D Souza displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Turner.
D Souza shoots in for a takedown but Turner shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
D Souza fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Turner wants to clinch but D Souza slips to the side
and D Souza counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

And that's the end of the fight!
Issac Turner showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Turner, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
