Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Sasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Manley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manley has chosen Johnny Richter - Lets go as his entrance music. Junior Sasi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Junior Sasi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Manley!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sasi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Manley as he jumps to the side.
Sasi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Manley.
Manley lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sasi misses the jab.
Sasi takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Sasi shoots in and gets a takedown into Manley's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sasi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sasi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sasi throws an elbow that misses. Manley uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sasi's guard. Nice move by Manley!
Sasi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sasi tries to get out of the position.

Manley prevents Sasi from getting back to his feet.

Manley stands and throws Sasi's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sasi tries to escape but Manley is in control.
Sasi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Manley on the ground.

Manley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sasi is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Manley asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Manley throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Sasi parries the strikes from Manley easily there. Manley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sasi to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sasi is pushing Manley's head away, looking to escape. Manley manages to hold on to the position though.
Sasi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Manley creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sasi sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Manley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Manley sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Sasi is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Manley is looking to take a break and control but Sasi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sasi wants to get back to his feet but Manley drags him back down.
Manley looks up at the clock and then as Sasi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Manley smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Sasi parries the strikes from Manley easily there. Manley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sasi to escape.
Manley wants to take a breather but Sasi manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Manley.

Manley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Manley is in close to Sasi's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Manley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sasi is keeping the position for now.
Manley throwing strikes from guard but Sasi blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sasi can't keep his opponent in guard - Manley advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Manley content to control rather than advance.
Sasi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Sasi pushes Manley off looking to stand but Manley dives back in and keeps control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sasi pushes Manley off but Manley dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justin Manley dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Manley fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sasi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sasi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Manley moves away.
Sasi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Justin Manley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manley swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sasi.
Justin Manley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sasi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sasi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Sasi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Manley but Manley pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Danga de danga de dang - Manley scores with a four punch combination!
Sasi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Manley circles away.
Sasi wants to clinch.
Manley looks to land a combination. Sasi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Manley scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Sasi shoots in and drives through. Manley sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Sasi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Manley scores with a sloppy right hand. Sasi should have avoided that one.
Manley Rushes Sasi and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Sasi is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Manley Piles on the pressure and Sasi crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Justin Manley!
