Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kent Ortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barry fails with an attempt to clinch.

It looks like Kent Ortega has been cut.
Barry throws a head kick that misses.

Ortega shoots in for a double leg but Barry sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Ortega tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ortega has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Ortega counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ortega is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Barry pulls his head out easily.

Ortega is looking for a sweep. Barry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ortega is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Barry's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Barry's back!

Ortega lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Ortega.

Ortega is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Ortega gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Ortega gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Ortega apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Kent Ortega comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
