0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ruatfela Michael! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michael throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mccullough's waist but Mccullough gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Michael off to one side. Mccullough has a takedown stuffed. Mccullough defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Michael. Mccullough darts in looking for a takedown but Michael gets double underhooks and turns Mccullough into the cage. Michael wants to break free but Mccullough has control.
Michael prevents Mccullough from breaking the clinch. Mccullough tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Michael blocks an elbow strike from Mccullough.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mccullough. A head punch on the inside from Michael fails to land. Mccullough tries to pull guard but Michael holds him up against the cage and eventually Mccullough drops back down to his feet.

Mccullough tries to bench press Michael off him but Michael keeps the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Michael postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Michael are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Michael wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mccullough keeps working. Mccullough is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Michael stands up and we're back to a striking position. Mccullough tries to clinch but Michael moves away and Michael counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Michael is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mccullough sees it coming and defends easily. Mccullough keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Michael passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mccullough! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Michael trying to control but Mccullough is having none of it. Michael sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Michael looking to ground and pound but Mccullough is blocking nicely. Michael landing strikes from the mount and Mccullough is in trouble! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mccullough looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Nice sprawl there from Mccullough as Michael shoots in.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jeromy Mccullough. I think Michael has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
