Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alva Davenport (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alva Davenport! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyson Howard! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davenport fails to land the takedown. Davenport stuffs the takedown. Davenport stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davenport wants it to stay on the feet. Davenport throws a push kick but Howard slaps the foot to one side. Davenport shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Howard but Howard pushes him off and we're back to square one. Davenport shoots for a takedown but Howard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alva Davenport. That's going to take a lot out of him. Howard gets in close and instigates a clinch. Howard drops down looking for an ankle pick but Davenport pulls his leg out and moves away.
Howard gets tackled into the cage by Davenport. Davenport maintains the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davenport wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Davenport has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Howard avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Davenport could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Davenport tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Howard just stands there and leans against the cage. Davenport jumps guard.
Howard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Davenport has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Howard has passed into side control.
Howard is trying to get an arm triangle but Davenport is defending well. Howard tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Howard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howard wants to control but Davenport is keeping him busy. Howard in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Davenport tries to improve position but can't. Howard goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Davenport rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Howard's guard! Nice work there by Davenport! This has been an exciting period of action! Davenport trying to control but Howard is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davenport throwing strikes from guard but Howard blocks nicely. Howard has his foot on Davenport's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davenport works his way back into a safe position though. Davenport wants to pass the guard but Howard is keeping the position. Howard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Howard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Davenport can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Howard avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Howard pushes a forearm under Davenport's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Davenport is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
