Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Derek Moriga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Voljin Darkspear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darkspear comes into a darkened arena with his song building. It a long way to the top kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darkspear fails with the takedown

and Moriga counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Darkspear wants to improve his position but Moriga is controlling well.
Moriga passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Darkspear!

Moriga is working Darkspear over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Darkspear bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Moriga's guard.

and Moriga counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moriga.
Derek Moriga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Voljin Darkspear.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Darkspear bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Moriga's guard.
Moriga wants to get back to his feet but Darkspear is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Darkspear stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moriga swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Darkspear takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
