Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Newton Guthrie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Linus Digrassi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Newton Guthrie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Linus Digrassi!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guthrie closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Digrassi's guard.
Guthrie stays in close to Digrassi's body and controls the position.

Guthrie drops back looking for a leg! Digrassi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Digrassi manages to kick Guthrie off! Guthrie jumps back into Digrassi's guard.
Guthrie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Guthrie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Digrassi goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Guthrie has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Digrassi but great work by Guthrie.

Digrassi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Guthrie is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Guthrie has escaped and now he's on top!

Guthrie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Digrassi enables Guthrie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Digrassi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
