Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Sefter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demitrious Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Patrick Sefter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demitrious Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson fails to land the takedown.

Sefter clinches.

Sefter turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sefter throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Johnson is trying to escape the position but Sefter is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sefter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Johnson for as long as he can get away with.

Patrick Sefter has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

and Sefter counters by moving into the clinch.

Johnson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Sefter gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Sefter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sefter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sefter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Sefter has Johnson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sefter pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Johnson tumbling to the mat - Sefter dives into Johnson's guard.

Sefter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Sefter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Patrick Sefter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demitrious Johnson.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Sefter manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Johnson is breathing heavily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johnson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Sefter has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Johnson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Sefter just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Sefter lands an elbow that stopped Johnson in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Demitrious Johnson has been cut.

Johnson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Sefter is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Johnson to the mat. Johnson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Sefter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage.
Sefter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johnson can do to turn this around?
A frustrated look appears on Johnson's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Johnson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Johnson blocks an elbow strike.

Sefter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sefter manages to end up in side control.
Johnson throws a few strikes from the bottom but Sefter takes advantage and mounts!
Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sefter controlling the position easily from mount.
Sefter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Patrick Sefter just wasn't active enough.

Johnson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnson is trying to control the position but Sefter postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sefter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sefter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Patrick Sefter showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Sefter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
