Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Seth Jakobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diogo Duarte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duarte has chosen Dragon ball GT as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seth Jakobs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diogo Duarte! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duarte buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jakobs scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jakobs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Duarte scores with a jab. Jakobs acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Jakobs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Duarte. Good leg kick by Jakobs there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jakobs stuffs the takedown. Duarte shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jakobs pinned against the cage. Jakobs gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Seth Jakobs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diogo Duarte. Jakobs clinches with his opponent.
Jakobs breaks from the clinch.
Jakobs wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jakobs connects with a body shot. Jakobs clinches up with Duarte and pushes him back against the cage. Jakobs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jakobs scores with a nice body kick.
Duarte is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Duarte looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jakobs moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Jakobs works Duarte's body with a nice hook. A punch combination from Jakobs misses. Duarte fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jakobs darts in and clinches Duarte up against the cage. Jakobs with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Jakobs manages to break the clinch.

Jakobs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jakobs lands a jab to the head.
Duarte is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Duarte shoots for a takedown but Jakobs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Duarte is still on wobbly legs! Can Jakobs finish him? Duarte is looking to clinch but Jakobs is avoiding it.
Jakobs finds Duarte's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Duarte flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Jakobs lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Duarte will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Seth Jakobs! Seth Jakobs tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
