Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harvi Kalaso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalaso comes to the ring accompanied by Hank Williams SR. . Barker is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Way of the Fist - Five Finger Death Punch. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
41 - 34 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Harvi Kalaso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, William Barker! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalaso moves out of range of the body kick from Barker.
Kalaso closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Kalaso throws an elbow but it misses.
Barker trying to land knees to the body.
Kalaso is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Kalaso tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Barker avoids it. Kalaso tries to stall but Barker uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kalaso is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Barker is defending well for now. Barker lands a hook that snaps the head of Kalaso backwards. Kalaso with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Barker jumps guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kalaso trying to control the position from guard on top but Barker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kalaso got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kalaso has managed to get both his arms back between Barker's legs - danger averted. Kalaso wants to control from the top but Barker keeps moving. Barker wants to stand but Kalaso is controlling the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Barker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kalaso.
Barker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kalaso gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kalaso trying to control but Barker is working from the bottom.
Barker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kalaso is aware though and is defending well. Barker keeping full guard, as Kalaso tries to pass.
Barker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kalaso gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Barker keeping moving, preventing Kalaso from controlling successfully. Barker keeping full guard, as Kalaso tries to pass. Barker tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Barker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kalaso doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kalaso manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. This has been an exciting period of action!
Barker has his foot on Kalaso's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kalaso works his way back into a safe position though.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Barker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kalaso controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kalaso trying to control the position from guard on top but Barker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kalaso has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Barker to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kalaso is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Barker pulls down on the head and he's put Kalaso to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). William Barker! In his post fight interview, William Barker started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
