PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoda Haka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Barca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haka comes to the cage accompanied by Boyz In Da Hood. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yoda Haka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hannibal Barca!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haka dives in for a single leg takedown but Barca sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Barca manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Haka with that takedown attempt.
Barca looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Haka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barca's waist but Barca gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Haka off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoda Haka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barca scores with a jab.

It looks like Yoda Haka has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Haka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barca sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haka somewhat.
Barca wants to clinch.
Barca moves into range and connects with a jab.
Haka fails with a takedown attempt.
Haka darts in looking for a takedown but Barca gets double underhooks and turns Haka into the cage.
Barca is struggling to control the position.
Barca lands a right hand that snaps the head of Haka backwards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barca stops a takedown attempt from Haka.
Barca wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Haka has him pressed against the cage.
Barca swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Barca misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Barca tries to break the clinch but Haka is controlling the position.

Barca breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barca lets loose with a powerful body kick. Haka will feel that in the morning.
Barca slaps away a takedown attempt from Haka, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Barca fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Barca lands a big right hand that sends Haka crashing to the mat! Barca stays standing though and waves Haka back to his feet!

Haka is rocked!
Barca ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Haka's jaw. Haka's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Barca does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hannibal Barca!
