Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlo Harrington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Gilbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Gilbert will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harrington closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Harrington lands in his opponent's guard.

Gilbert is looking to stand up but Harrington isn't so interested in that idea.
Harrington stays in close to Gilbert's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Carlo Harrington.

Harrington keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gilbert's efforts to push away.

Gilbert looks to land a combination but Harrington avoids it well.

Harrington fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gilbert to the ground. Harrington is now in Gilbert's guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Gilbert swats away the attempt to clinch by Harrington.
Carlo Harrington is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gilbert tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gilbert rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Harrington moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Harrington drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Harrington takes a little break here. Gilbert wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Carlo Harrington wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Harrington shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Harrington was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Gilbert prevents Harrington from moving into mount.

Harrington advances nicely into full mount.
Harrington misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Harrington is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Harrington takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Harrington looking to secure an arm triangle but Gilbert defends it well.
Harrington sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Harrington is working for a guillotine from mount but Gilbert frees his head quite easily.
Gilbert wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Harrington.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harrington, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
