Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Todd Duffee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Todd Duffee has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Todd Duffee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt shoots in for a takedown but Duffee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hunt has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Duffee is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Duffee lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


It looks like Mark Hunt has been cut.

Duffee lands a big head kick that sends Hunt tumbling to the mat! Duffee takes a step backwards and waves Hunt back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Duffee drives through with a powerful takedown. That's hurt Hunt!


Hunt is rocked!

Duffee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hunt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Duffee has managed to get both his arms back between Hunt's legs - danger averted.
Hunt is still in real trouble! Can Duffee finish him?
Duffee seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Duffee lands a couple of elbows.
Hunt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Duffee controls the pace.
Hunt seems to have recovered his senses.
Hunt keeping moving, preventing Duffee from controlling successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunt is trying to stand up here but Duffee is controlling him well.
Duffee thows a huge punch but Hunt dodges it nicely.

Duffee is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Duffee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Duffee wants to take a breather but Hunt is having none of it.

Hunt manages to get to full guard.
Duffee is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Infinity that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Hunt is looking for a triangle but Duffee pushes his legs off easily.
Duffee wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.
Duffee wants to stand but Hunt is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hunt looking for a guillotine here but Duffee defends easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hunt is on top in guard.
Duffee is pulling down on Hunt's head to control his posture.
Duffee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hunt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hunt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Duffee pulls Hunt in close to prevent any damage.
Duffee wants to hit a switch here but Hunt passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Duffee there!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Duffee tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fight stays on the outside here - Duffee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hunt shoots in for a double leg but Duffee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Duffee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hunt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hunt looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Duffee has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Duffee tries to free his leg and advance position but Hunt is retaining full guard.
Mark Hunt has got the better of the ground game so far.
Duffee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hunt is breathing heavily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Duffee breaks from Hunt's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Duffee is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Hunt is staying active underneath Duffee, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Duffee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Hunt is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Duffee is aware though and is defending well.

Duffee stands and steps away. Hunt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hunt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Duffee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hunt somewhat.

Hunt darts in and clinches Duffee up against the cage.
Duffee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hunt gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Duffee breaks the clinch.
Duffee is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Duffee misses with a double jab.
Duffee connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hunt momentarily.

Hunt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hunt leaves Duffee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hunt is trying to drag Duffee to the mat but Duffee just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Hunt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Duffee's head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hunt is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Duffee sees it coming and defends easily.

Hunt wants to get up but he can't break Duffee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Duffee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hunt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hunt wants to get back to his feet but Duffee is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Mark Hunt.
I think Duffee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
