Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomasz Stawski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Faersk! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stawski stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Faersk. A good leg kick by Faersk. Stawski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Faersk tries to clinch but Stawski is having none of it. Faersk slips a jab and a cross from Stawski.
Faersk connects with an inside leg kick. Stawski thows a body shot but no joy. Stawski is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Faersk. Faersk lands with a slapping head kick. Faersk closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Stawski tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Faersk smiles and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stawski shoots in for a double leg but Faersk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomasz Stawski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Faersk misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Stawski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Stawski wanted to stand there but Faersk had control of the position. Faersk avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jon Faersk. Stawski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stawski throws a body punch but Faersk moves out of range. Tomasz Stawski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stawski thows a body shot but no joy. Stawski closes the distance and pushes Faersk back into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stawski manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Stawski is looking to sweep but instead, Faersk has passed into half guard.
Stawski is breathing heavily. Faersk is controlling the pace.
Faersk is trying to control. Stawski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Faersk is taking a breather. Stawski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Stawski wants to control but Faersk is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stawski won't allow Faersk to pass to mount. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Stawski missing with punches from the bottom.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jon Faersk hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Stawski throws a push kick but Faersk slaps the foot to one side. Faersk tries to close the distance and clinch but Stawski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Stawski takes a kick to the side of the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Faersk tries a head kick but it misses.
Faersk scores with a kick to the midsection. A momentary lapse in concentration from Faersk enables Stawski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Faersk manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jon Faersk will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Stawski tries to clinch but Faersk is having none of it. Faersk lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Stawski shoots in for a double leg but Faersk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Donk. Faersk catches Stawski right on the button with a cross. Stawski moves in looking to clinch but Faersk pushes him off. Stawski shoots in but Faersk avoids the takedown attempt easily. Stawski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Faersk paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Faersk looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Faersk lands with a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faersk lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stawski doesn't succeed with the takedown and Faersk counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomasz Stawski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Faersk scoring well with a low kick there.
Faersk scores with the left hand. Stawski knows he should have avoided that one. Stawski walks forward, straight into a front kick from Faersk. Stawski fails with a takedown attempt. Faersk lands a head kick!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Faersk lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stawski on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Nice body kick from Faersk. Faersk rushes Stawski and presses him up against the cage. Faersk utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Faersk drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stawski gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Faersk wants a takedown but no success here.

Faersk is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stawski pulls him back up using the underhooks. Faersk misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Stawski.

Stawski ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stawski no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Stawski wants to sweep here but Faersk controlling him for the moment. Faersk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Faersk decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stawski, up you get! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stawski just misses with a punch to the body.

Jon Faersk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Stawski tries to pull guard but Faersk won't allow it.

Faersk throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Faersk thumps Stawski with a low kick. Stawski is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Faersk connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Faersk wants to clinch. Faersk lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Faersk throws a nice head kick!
That's three minutes gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Faersk. Faersk throws a combination. Stawski tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Faersk gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Stawski fails to pull guard.
Stawski is trying to pull guard but Faersk turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Faersk has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Stawski regains guard immediately. Faersk passes Stawski's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Faersk tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stawski knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Jon Faersk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Faersk decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Faersk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Faersk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
