Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Keller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Meyer throws a low kick but Keller moves out of range easily.
Keller stuffs the takedown attempt from Meyer. Meyer gets slowly back to his feet.
Keller swings for the body but Meyer moves out of range.
Keller comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Meyer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Keller scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Meyer's coach down at Team Hopkins was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Meyer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Meyer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Keller's waist but Keller gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Meyer off to one side.
Sam Keller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Meyer.

Keller moves into range and connects with a jab.
Keller slaps away a takedown attempt from Meyer, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Meyer tries for a takedown but Keller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Keller scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Meyer doesn't seem bothered though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Meyer throws an elbow but Keller slips to the side and avoids it well.

Meyer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Meyer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

You can see the frustration on Keller's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Meyer throws an elbow but Keller slips to the side and avoids it well.
The ground and pound from Meyer seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Meyer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Keller knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The strikes coming from Meyer are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Meyer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Keller keeps working.
Meyer postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Keller misses with a straight left.
Meyer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Keller but Keller pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Keller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Meyer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Meyer misses with a wild body shot.
Keller lunges at Meyer with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Meyer's hand.
Meyer takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Keller looks to land a combination but Meyer avoids it well.
Keller scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Keller connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Meyer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Meyer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Meyer cracks Keller with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Oh Keller is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big shot lands for Meyer! That's hurt Keller! Will he recover? Meyer fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Meyer!
A very excited looking Paul Meyer rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
