Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Lagk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Padriak Higrsolev!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lagk instigates a clinch.
Stalling in the clinch from Lagk.
Higrsolev trying to stall but Lagk improves his position.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lagk takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Higrsolev is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lagk to keep the fight standing.
Lagk is working Higrsolev over against the cage.
Lagk lands a body punch in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Lagk.


It looks like Padriak Higrsolev has been cut.
Still in the clinch, Lagk scores with a nice short uppercut.

Lagk gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Higrsolev is refusing to be controlled, as Lagk sits in half guard.
Higrsolev is looking to escape.
Lagk trying to control the action but Higrsolev is working from the bottom.
Higrsolev is trying to stand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Higrsolev avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lagk.
Lagk is thwarting Higrsolev's attempts to control the position.
Lagk is trying to control. Higrsolev wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lagk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lagk lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are battling for position here. Higrsolev manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Lagk pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Higrsolev is keeping the position for now.
Higrsolev wants to stand and escape but Lagk is having none of it.
Lagk stays in close to Higrsolev's body and controls the position.
Higrsolev is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lagk wants to control from the top but Higrsolev keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Higrsolev has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lagk should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Higrsolev has tightened it up now! Lagk should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
