Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Whitney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jet Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jet Lee will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitney tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lee swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A punch combination from Lee misses.
Whitney shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Whitney gets slowly back to his feet.
Whitney tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Whitney closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lee did well to prevent Whitney getting side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Lee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Whitney throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease.
Whitney throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Whitney off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Whitney. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Whitney at a distance.
Jet Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Whitney seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Whitney is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lee is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Whitney jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lee manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Lee is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Whitney asserts his dominance and retains side control.
