Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Money!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Giraldo!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Money instigates a clinch.
Giraldo takes a shot to the head.
Giraldo misses with a punch to the body.
Giraldo pressing his opponent against the cage.
Money is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Giraldo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Money wants to break free but Giraldo has control.
Money tries to pull guard but Giraldo won't allow it.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Giraldo.
Giraldo tries to throw a body punch but Money avoids it by throwing Giraldo back against the cage.
Money jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Giraldo walks away with a smile on his face. Money gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Money. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Money on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Money shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Giraldo as he jumps to the side.
A punch lands to the side of Money 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Money is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Giraldo fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Money out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Greg Giraldo!
