Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Mad Dog! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mad Dog fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Maia to the ground. Mad Dog is now in Maia's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Maia is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Mad Dog lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Maia is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mad Dog scores with a couple of nice shots. Maia is looking to improve his position but Mad Dog isn't that keen on the idea. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mad Dog unloading with bombs! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mad Dog breaks from Maia's wrist control and lands an elbow. Mad Dog dominating with strikes here. Maia sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maia goes for a double leg but Mad Dog avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mad Dog continues to drive forward. Maia keeps control of Mad Dog as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Maia blocks a body shot from Mad Dog. Mad Dog breaks from the clinch.
Maia shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mad Dog but Mad Dog pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mad Dog looks up at the clock and then as Maia takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mad Dog smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Maia is looking to regain half guard here but Mad Dog keeps moving and retains side control. Maia takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Mad Dog scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Maia is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Mad Dog can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
