The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Knight should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Knight wants to stand but Casta has his arm trapped.
Knight wants to stand but Casta has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Knight wants to stand and escape but instead Casta has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Casta stops Knight from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Craig Knight was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Knight darts in looking for a takedown but Casta gets double underhooks and turns Knight into the cage.
Casta is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Knight to keep the fight standing.
Knight gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Casta regains guard.
Knight has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Casta is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Casta is trying to keep Knight in close.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Alexandre Casta wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Knight gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Casta.
It looks like Craig Knight has been cut.
BOOM! Casta lands a beautiful left hook that drops Knight. Knight tries to recover but Casta is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Knight lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexandre Casta!
After the fight, Alexandre Casta was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
