The crowd seem to be enjoying Anderson's choice of entrance music: eye of the tiger. Thiago Anderson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson with a lazy takedown attempt

and Fields decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Anderson's guard.
Fields won't allow Anderson to get back to his feet.
Fields controls from within his opponent's guard.
Anderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fields. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fields wanted to stand there but Anderson had control of the position.
Anderson pulls Fields in close to his closed guard and prevents Fields from doing any damage or advancing position.
Fields prevents Anderson from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Fields closes the distance and pushes Anderson back into the cage.
Fields stops a takedown attempt from Anderson.
Anderson has Fields pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fields manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Marion Fields has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Anderson.

Anderson pushes Fields off, looking to escape but Fields dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Anderson is forced to tap! The fight is over!
