Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Top Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angel Suarez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suarez fails to land the takedown. Dog misses with a takedown attempt and Suarez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dog won't be happy with that. Dog tries to get back to half guard but can't. Suarez working away. Suarez advances to full mount. Dog is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dog manages to regain half guard. Good work. Dog wants to improve his position but Suarez is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suarez wants to pass the guard but Dog is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dog is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dog is trying to maintain the position but Suarez is very close to passing his half guard. Dog is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Suarez is looking to take a break and control but Dog is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dog shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Suarez's guard.

Dog escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Suarez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dog utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Dog clinches. Dog jumps guard and drags Suarez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Suarez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dog isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Suarez stacks Dog on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Suarez! Suarez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Suarez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dog is not content to let Suarez control the position. Dog sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Top Dog will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dog manages to get back to half guard. Dog is pressing down on Suarez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Dog escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Suarez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Suarez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Suarez trying to control but Dog is working from the bottom. Dog looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Suarez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dog swivels though and keeps the full guard. Suarez won't allow Dog to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dog is on top in guard.
Dog forces his way into half guard. Suarez tries to kick Dog off but Dog keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Suarez trying to hold on to Dog's head to control him but Dog postures up.
Dog is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Suarez! Suarez is looking to get to half guard. Dog breaks from Suarez's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dog trying to control but Suarez is having none of it. Dog has control of Suarez's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Suarez regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Dog has hold of Suarez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Suarez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dog unloads with some shots from mount but Suarez bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Top Dog will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Suarez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dog knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Dog moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dog is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dog throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Dog doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Suarez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dog swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dog is trying to control the position but Suarez postures up. Suarez wants to control from the top but Dog keeps moving. Suarez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Angel Suarez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dog is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that's the end of the fight! Top Dog showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dog has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
