Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Semore Butkiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Pelano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Butkiss comes to the ring accompanied by Mama said. Pelano has chosen I Wanna Be Somebody by WASP as his entrance music. Semore Butkiss had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Semore Butkiss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hector Pelano! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butkiss is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A nice inside leg kick there by Pelano. That's going to slow Butkiss down. Butkiss throws a series of punches but Pelano avoids them all with ease. Pelano throws a head kick but Butkiss moves out of range.

Pelano dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Pelano cracks the inside of Butkiss's front leg. Pelano connects with a good right hand that stumbles Butkiss. Butkiss circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Butkiss is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pelano pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Butkiss misses with a takedown and Pelano counters with a takedown into side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pelano looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Butkiss is avoiding damage well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Butkiss tries to bench press Pelano off him but Pelano keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pelano is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Pelano has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pelano trying to control the position but Butkiss is working away. Butkiss prevents Pelano from moving into mount. Pelano in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Pelano is working Butkiss over with some ground and pound from side control. Pelano tries to advance to mount but Butkiss denies him. Butkiss has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Pelano throws an elbow but Butkiss slips to the side and avoids it well.

Butkiss tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pelano wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pelano working his ground and pound in the gym. Butkiss bucks up and tries to throw Pelano off but instead Pelano has got his back! Butkiss is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Pelano.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pelano is working the ground and pound. Can Butkiss escape? Pelano is looking to finish with some ground and pound! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Can Butkiss hold on?! Pelano is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Butkiss is rocked! Pelano lands shots from the back. Oh Butkiss is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Pelano scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Butkiss is looking for a way out. Butkiss is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Butkiss is breathing heavily. Butkiss is trapped and Pelano is scoring with shots to the head and body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pelano controls the position. Butkiss seems to have got his legs back now. Pelano's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Pelano scores with punches and elbows.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Pelano lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Pelano lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Butkiss.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Pelano connects with a couple of big shots that have Butkiss covering up! Oh, this looks bad for Butkiss! Pelano fires away with several more unanswered shots and the referee has no choice but to step in! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hector Pelano! Hector Pelano spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
