Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauro Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrence Lloyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mauro Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Terrence Lloyd!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lloyd throws a head kick that misses.
Lloyd misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lloyd shoots for a double leg takedown but Hansen sprawls well. He's pushed Lloyd's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lloyd throws a nice looking combination but Hansen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lloyd is looking to clinch but Hansen is avoiding it.
A head kick misses from Hansen.
Hansen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Lloyd clinches.
Lloyd is pressed up against the cage. Hansen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lloyd down to the mat. Lloyd avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lloyd looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lloyd fails with the takedown.
Hansen shoots for a takedown but Lloyd saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lloyd shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hansen as he jumps to the side.
Mauro Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terrence Lloyd.

Lloyd has a takedown stuffed.
Hansen tries for a takedown but Lloyd sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lloyd avoids the head kick by Hansen.
Lloyd tries to clinch up.
Hansen moves out of range of the body kick from Lloyd.

Hansen moves into the clinch successfully.
Lloyd has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hansen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lloyd is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hansen pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Lloyd is looking to control Hansen's arms but Hansen gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lloyd has his back to the cage.
Lloyd looks winded!

Hansen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hansen keeps the fight on the outside.

Lloyd tries to clinch up
and Hansen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Hansen clinches up with Lloyd and pushes him back against the cage.

Hansen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hansen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hansen seems keen to control Lloyd's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hansen wriggles free and stands up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hansen closes the distance and pushes Lloyd back into the cage.
Lloyd swings wildly with an uppercut but Hansen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hansen presses Lloyd against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lloyd is trying to pull guard but Hansen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Hansen keeps control of Lloyd as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Lloyd has Hansen pressed against the cage, preventing Hansen from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hansen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lloyd walks away with a smile on his face. Hansen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lloyd gets tackled into the cage by Hansen. Hansen maintains the clinch.
Hansen wants to take the fight to the mat but Lloyd manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Lloyd drags the fight down to the ground.
Lloyd wants to stand up but Hansen is controlling him.
Hansen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hansen passes Lloyd's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lloyd wants to get back to his feet.
Hansen uses his free foot to push down on Lloyd's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lloyd.
Hansen controlling his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hansen misses with a head kick.
Hansen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lloyd is looking to land body kicks.

Lloyd might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hansen haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Lloyd is breathing heavily.
Hansen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Hansen not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Hansen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hansen decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Lloyd doesn't manage to clinch there - Hansen circles away.
Hansen fails with the takedown.
Lloyd misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Hansen pushes Lloyd up against the cage in a clinch.

Hansen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lloyd smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauro Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lloyd shoots in but no luck this time.
Hansen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hansen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lloyd misses with a body shot.
Lloyd tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hansen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hansen moves into the clinch.
Hansen wants to break free but Lloyd has control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hansen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Hansen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hansen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lloyd has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Hansen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lloyd!

Hansen throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lloyd because Hansen loaded up on that one.

Lloyd shoots for a takedown but Hansen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lloyd shoots in looking for a takedown but Hansen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lloyd's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hansen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mauro Hansen is winning the standup battle so far.
Hansen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hansen lunges at Lloyd with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lloyd's hand.
Lloyd leaves Hansen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hansen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lloyd just stands there and leans against the cage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hansen is on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lloyd looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hansen puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Hansen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lloyd defending well though.
Hansen is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Lloyd is trying desperately to improve position.
Lloyd avoids a series of strikes thrown by Hansen.
Hansen misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Hansen jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lloyd manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The referee asks Hansen politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hansen prefers to stall for the moment though.

Hansen tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Hansen works to advance to full mount. Lloyd defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Terrence Lloyd has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mauro Hansen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Mauro Hansen showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hansen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
