Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Gillespie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark McGillivary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark McGillivary will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Solomon Gillespie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark McGillivary! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gillespie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gillespie moves in looking to clinch but McGillivary pushes him off. McGillivary shoots in for a double leg but Gillespie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Gillespie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McGillivary did well to prevent Gillespie getting side control. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Gillespie wants to work for an arm triangle but McGillivary is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gillespie not doing much here.
Gillespie has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGillivary gets full guard. Gillespie really is a fat lump.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGillivary can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gillespie controls the pace. Gillespie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McGillivary on the ground. McGillivary working a defensive guard here.
McGillivary is pulling down on Gillespie's head. It's preventing any offense from Gillespie, at least for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Solomon Gillespie just wasn't active enough. McGillivary with a poor takedown and Gillespie counters with a shoot takedown. McGillivary fights it but they end up in guard. McGillivary trying to control the position.

This has been an exciting period of action! McGillivary moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gillespie has worked his arm free - good work by Gillespie!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gillespie is not content to let McGillivary control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gillespie trying to control but McGillivary flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Gillespie fending off the submission attempt from McGillivary. McGillivary is trying to stick to Gillespie's back but Gillespie is turning into McGillivary. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in McGillivary's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gillespie. McGillivary has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Gillespie has passed into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGillivary is looking to reverse the position. Check out the look on Gillespie's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Gillespie wants to control but McGillivary is keeping him busy. McGillivary tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gillespie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gillespie wants to stand but McGillivary has his arm trapped. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McGillivary looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Solomon Gillespie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McGillivary trying to control but Gillespie is working from the bottom. Gillespie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. McGillivary looking to sit in guard and control but Gillespie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Gillespie trying to control the position from guard on top but McGillivary is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. McGillivary looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gillespie is one step ahead there. Gillespie wants to control from the top but McGillivary keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Solomon Gillespie just wasn't active enough. McGillivary fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gillespie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McGillivary's guard. McGillivary has a closed guard, preventing Gillespie from standing up. Gillespie postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gillespie throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gillespie trying to control the position from guard on top but McGillivary is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gillespie passes McGillivary's right leg, so he's now in half guard. McGillivary wants to get back to full guard. Gillespie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McGillivary doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gillespie. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gillespie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McGillivary defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGillivary is not content to let Gillespie control the position. McGillivary wants to control but Gillespie is keeping busy.
McGillivary is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gillespie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gillespie's back! McGillivary controlling well, preventing Gillespie from escaping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Solomon Gillespie dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Gillespie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. McGillivary has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Gillespie is on him like a limpet, forcing McGillivary back against the cage. McGillivary is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gillespie can't fight it off and eventually McGillivary manages to take the fight to the floor. Gillespie looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. McGillivary pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gillespie is keeping the position for now. Gillespie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGillivary gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gillespie on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gillespie tries to get out of the position. McGillivary trying to control but Gillespie is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGillivary passes easily into side control. Nice work. Both fighters are breathing heavily. McGillivary lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gillespie down.
McGillivary throws an elbow but Gillespie slips to the side and avoids it well. You can see the frustration on Gillespie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gillespie defending against the ground and pound. McGillivary thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. McGillivary is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gillespie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gillespie prevents McGillivary from moving into mount. Gillespie gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! McGillivary jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gillespie manages to avoid the submission attempt. McGillivary wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gillespie, who protects the arm well. McGillivary wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gillespie keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gillespie struggling a bit here. McGillivary controlling the position from side mount. Gillespie tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gillespie can't do much from the bottom here. McGillivary trying to control the action but Gillespie is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGillivary postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
McGillivary misses with the ground and pound. McGillivary trying to control the action but Gillespie is working from the bottom. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Gillespie is trying to buck McGillivary off. Mark McGillivary has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Solomon Gillespie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McGillivary throwing shots but missing, from side control.
