Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael B Simson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Simson wants to pass the guard but Flynn is keeping the position.
Simson passes into half guard.
Ground and pound from Simson.
Simson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Flynn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Simson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Simson seems to be working for a kimura but Flynn defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Flynn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Simson on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Flynn pushes Simson off looking to stand but Simson dives back in and keeps control.

Simson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Flynn keeps working.
Simson works his foot free and advances to mount.
Simson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
