Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gennady Mikhasevich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eri Keepperi!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keepperi misses with an uppercut

and Mikhasevich counters with a shoot takedown. Keepperi fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mikhasevich wants to pass the guard but Keepperi is keeping the position.
Keepperi keeping moving, preventing Mikhasevich from controlling successfully.
Keepperi trying to keep a closed guard but Mikhasevich is proving a slippery customer.
Keepperi keeping full guard, as Mikhasevich tries to pass.
Mikhasevich has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Mikhasevich wants to control from the top but Keepperi keeps moving.
Mikhasevich is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Keepperi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gennady Mikhasevich wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Keepperi lands a slapping body shot.
Keepperi lands with a right hand.
A swing and a miss from Mikhasevich.
Eri Keepperi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Keepperi scores with a hook to the body. Mikhasevich takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Keepperi lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Keepperi throws a jab but it's blocked by Mikhasevich.

Keepperi cracks Mikhasevich with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Mikhasevich looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Keepperi finish him?


Mikhasevich is rocked!


It looks like Gennady Mikhasevich has been cut.
Keepperi digs a good hook to Mikhasevich's body.
Mikhasevich is breathing heavily.
BOOM! Keepperi lands a beautiful left hook that drops Mikhasevich. Mikhasevich tries to recover but Keepperi is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Mikhasevich lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eri Keepperi!
Gennady Mikhasevich was interviewed post fight and said 'Vittupillu ja puukenkä!'.
