Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rob McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muniek Ziomek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKenzie's entrance music is Flower Of Scotland. A fine choice. Muniek Ziomek acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rob McKenzie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Muniek Ziomek! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKenzie feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ziomeks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! McKenzie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ziomek takes a jab right on the kisser.
Ziomek fails with the takedown and McKenzie connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McKenzie stuns Ziomek with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ziomek fails with the takedown and McKenzie counters with a straight right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McKenzie will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
McKenzie tried to score with a low kick but Ziomek checks it. Ziomek doesn't succeed with the takedown and McKenzie counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Rob McKenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muniek Ziomek. Ziomek with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McKenzie to score with a decent uppercut. Ziomek takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. An inside leg kick from McKenzie misses. McKenzie lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. It looks like McKenzie has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Ziomek is trying desperately to land a takedown but McKenzie is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ziomek. Ziomek checks a leg kick. Ziomek checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. McKenzie fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ziomek checks it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKenzie lands a two punch combo.
McKenzie thows a body shot but no joy. Ziomek drives through with a takedown into McKenzie's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Ziomek is looking to pass into half guard but McKenzie pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now McKenzie is in guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Ziomek pulls McKenzie in to control the position. Ziomek tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ziomek can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McKenzie controls the pace. Ziomek not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McKenzie slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! McKenzie wants to control from the top but Ziomek keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rob McKenzie. McKenzie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rob McKenzie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McKenzie lands with a nice body punch. McKenzie finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
McKenzie works the jab nicely. McKenzie digs a good hook to Ziomek's body.
Ziomek with a poor takedown and McKenzie counters with a left to the body. Ziomek takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
McKenzie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ziomek looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. McKenzie is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. McKenzie slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Ziomek takes a body punch but keeps moving. Ziomek looks winded! McKenzie jabs Ziomek to the body, keeping him at a distance. McKenzie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ziomek fails with the takedown and McKenzie cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ziomek drops his hands momentarily and McKenzie takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Ziomek moves forwards but McKenzie connects with a nice, crisp jab. McKenzie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ziomek takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Ziomek takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ziomek is rocked! McKenzie connects with a body shot that sends Ziomek's belly button to the back. McKenzie lands with a good body shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ziomek closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Ziomek is still on wobbly legs! Can McKenzie finish him? McKenzie scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Ziomek on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Ziomek seems to have recovered his senses. McKenzie jabs Ziomek to the body, keeping him at a distance. Ziomek stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McKenzie. McKenzie lands a big uppercut and Ziomek crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ziomek looks OK. McKenzie waves Ziomek back to his feet! McKenzie fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Ziomek to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Ziomek looks to clinch but McKenzie throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Ziomek taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Rob McKenzie! A very excited looking Rob McKenzie made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
