Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Caro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Lee! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caro is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Caro throws a sloppy head kick and Lee moves out of range easily. Lee misses with a series of wild punches.
Caro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lee moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lee throws a head kick but Caro moves out of range.
A head kick by Lee misses and Caro counters with a one-two to the body. A head kick by Lee misses and Caro counters with a flying knee. Nice. Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lee gets caught flat footed, as Caro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Caro won't allow Lee to sweep him here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Caro stops Lee from standing up. Lee is looking to stand back up but Caro counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caro perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lee is trying to stand.
Caro decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Caro avoids the head kick by Lee.
Lee looks winded! Caro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lee was covering up waiting for the punch and Caro finishes the takedown easily into guard. Lee can't keep his opponent in guard - Caro advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Caro stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Caro manages to mount him!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caro controlling from mount. Caro's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Caro with good strikes from the mount here!
It looks like Tony Lee has been cut. Caro takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Caro seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lee for as long as he can get away with. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Caro is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caro closes the distance and clinches. Caro pulls guard effortlessly. Caro has his hands on Lee's head, controlling the position. Caro is looking for a triangle but Lee pushes his legs off easily.
Caro manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Lee is trying to break the clinch but Caro has him pressed against the cage. Caro pulls Lee into guard.
Caro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Caro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lee wants to get back to full guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lee is trying to stand up here but Caro is controlling him well. Caro stands up out of the half guard. Lee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Caro shoots in looking for a takedown but Lee manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Caro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lee leaves Caro with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Caro swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee. Lee looks to land a body kick but Caro moved away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee slaps away a takedown attempt from Caro, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mike Caro is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Caro fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lee, pushing him back against the cage. Lee wants to break free but Caro has control.

Caro has control of Lee's left arm, preventing Lee from doing any damage. Lee with a flurry of punches that miss. Caro bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lee can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee being controlled here, momentarily. Lee wants to stand but Caro is controlling the position. Caro is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Caro stops Lee from standing up. Caro content to stall in guard here.
Mike Caro has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Nice sprawl there from Lee as Caro shoots in. Caro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Caro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caro moves out of range as Lee throws a body kick.

Caro looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lee is fending him off so far but Caro persists. Nope, Lee circles away and we're back to standing. Lee takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Caro shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Caro's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tony Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Caro misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caro clinches. Lee is trying to break the clinch but Caro has him pressed against the cage. Caro has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lee after a bit of a struggle. Lee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lee wants to break the clinch but can't.

Caro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lee uses from the top position. Caro manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A chopping leg kick lands by Caro. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lee throws a combination that misses and Caro counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lee thinking. Mike Caro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee is breathing heavily. Lee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Caro. Caro has taken the fight to the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee is trying to push Caro away but Caro has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Lee takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Caro content just to control the position here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Caro landing strikes from the mount. Lee tries to hold on but Caro postures up. Caro prevents Lee from getting the reversal. Caro avoids the attempt from Lee to control. Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lee really wants to buck Caro off and get back to his feet. Mike Caro overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Caro content just to control the position here. Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Caro landing punches.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Caro wants to finish this one by submission but Lee is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Caro. Caro prevents Lee from getting the reversal.

And that's the end of the fight! Mike Caro showed his dominance in that final round. Well Caro has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
