Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Bashor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Locke might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Star Wars - Imperial March. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Locke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jesse Bashor!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bashor closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Locke tries to bench press Bashor off him but Bashor keeps the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Locke sneaks back into half guard.

Bashor wants to work for an arm triangle but Locke is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Locke definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bashor wants to free his trapped foot but Locke is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Bashor is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Locke has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Locke!

Bashor drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Locke manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bashor has Locke in his guard.

Bashor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Locke pulls his head out easily.
Locke is keen to just control but Bashor is a slippery customer.

Locke will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Locke is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bashor is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Bashor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Locke swings around for an armbar but Bashor sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Locke's guard.

Locke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bashor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bashor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bashor stands up from guard. Let's bang!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Locke enables Bashor to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Locke manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Locke is looking to cinch up a triangle. Bashor throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Locke's body to avoid the submission. Locke has instead reached around Bashor's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Locke arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
