The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grozny shoots and misses

and Clay counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Clay breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Grozny fails with the takedown

and Clay counters with a nice double leg into side control. Grozny won't be happy with that.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Grozny can't do much from the bottom here.
Grozny is looking for a sweep.
Clay in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Clay is trying to get an arm triangle but Grozny is defending well.

Grozny takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Check out the look on Clay's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Clay is working to tighten his grip on Grozny's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Grozny has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Clay is really squeezing tight and eventually Grozny passes out! Clay breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
