Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hidalgo Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blixt Boxlund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montoya comes to the cage accompanied by El Toro. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hidalgo Montoya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Blixt Boxlund! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boxlund shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Montoya eats them both and turns towards Boxlund to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Montoya looks to land a left hand but Boxlund moved out of range nicely. Boxlund tries to move into range but Montoya moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Montoya decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Montoya seems to be looking for submissions.
Montoya has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Montoya not doing much here.
Boxlund is defending against the submission attempts here by Montoya.
Montoya stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montoya trying to control from half guard but Boxlund is working away. Montoya works his way into full mount! Montoya fails to move to back control. Boxlund throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Montoya trying to control but he's not successful this time. Montoya fails to take his opponent's back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boxlund is squirming around, avoiding Montoya's attempts to control the action. Montoya sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Montoya goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Boxlund turns into him and now he's in Montoya's guard.
Montoya escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boxlund gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boxlund trying to control the position from guard on top but Montoya is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Montoya is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Montoya looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Montoya working for a triangle but Boxlund defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boxlund has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Montoya to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Boxlund is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Montoya pulls down on the head and he's put Boxlund to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Hidalgo Montoya! In his post fight interview, Hidalgo Montoya gave a big smile as he said 'I'd like to take this moment to announce my retirement! Thanks to Hans who's kept me in hookers and blow!'.
