Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Graham Goodwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ragnarr Jiu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Graham Goodwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ragnarr Jiu!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodwin throws a sloppy head kick and Jiu moves out of range easily.
Goodwin darts in looking for a takedown but Jiu gets double underhooks and turns Goodwin into the cage.
Goodwin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jiu gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Jiu tries to pull guard but Goodwin won't allow it.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Jiu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ragnarr Jiu has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Goodwin tries to clinch there but Jiu circles away.

A combination from Jiu does no damage.
Goodwin dives in for a single leg takedown but Jiu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Graham Goodwin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jiu is looking to break free of the clinch but Goodwin has double underhooks.
Jiu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Goodwin walks away with a smile on his face. Jiu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ragnarr Jiu has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Goodwin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jiu sprawls well initially but Goodwin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jiu makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jiu.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jiu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Goodwin's guard.
Jiu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goodwin is breathing heavily.
Jiu not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jiu postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Jiu cracks Goodwin with a solid left hand.

Jiu shoots in but Goodwin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jiu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ragnarr Jiu dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jiu. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
