The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindi throws a half hearted mid kick.
Lindi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Howard defends it nicely.
That kick from Howard tenderised Lindi's leg. Lindi is trying to keep his angry face on.
Howard circles away from the clinch attempt.
An inside leg kick lands from Howard.
Howard misses with a few strikes there.
Lindi dodges the punch combination from Howard.
Howard swinging wildly here.
Howard lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lindi misses with a two punch combination.
Lindi shoots in but Howard avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Lindi tries for a takedown but Howard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Howard has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Howard misses with a wild combination.

John Howard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Howard scores with a jab. Lindi acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Howard lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Lindi tries to clinch there but Howard circles away.

Oh Lindi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lindi goes for a double leg but Howard avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Howard continues to drive forward.
Lindi seems to have got his legs back now.

Howard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Howard throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Lindi tumbling to the canvas!

Howard stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Howard misses with a series of wild punches.
Horrible takedown by Lindi or perhaps it was just good defense by Howard which made him look bad.
Howard lands with a right that hurts Lindi. Lindi looks to clinch but Howard throws a short knee that drops Lindi. This one is all over!
