The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tacobell fails with a takedown attempt.

and Tacobell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Burns takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Burns's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Burns shoots for a takedown but Tacobell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tacobell throws a series of punches but Burns avoids them all with ease.
Burns gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Tacobell is looking to clinch.

Burns fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tacobell, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Burns turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Tacobell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Denis Burns will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Tacobell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Burns circles away.
Burns throws a series of punches but Tacobell avoids them all with ease.

Burns changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tacobell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tacobell wants to get back to his feet but Burns is dominant here and he's now got Tacobell's back!

Burns has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Tacobell has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Denis Burns overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Burns has managed to slip his arm under Tacobell's chin. This could be all over... yep, Tacobell is tapping out! Submission win for Burns.
