The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gnarlord gets the takedown into side control.

Horoko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gnarlord manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Horoko has Gnarlord in his guard.

Horoko is trying to stick to Gnarlord's back but Gnarlord is turning into Horoko. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Horoko's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gnarlord.

Gnarlord shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Horoko as he jumps to the side.

Gnarlord is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Horoko frees his head nicely. Oh but Gnarlord has switched to an armbar! Horoko is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
