PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nanuk Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Mcpeeny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nanuk Hayes looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mcpeeny shoots for a takedown but Hayes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mcpeeny blocks a head kick by Hayes.
Hayes with a poor takedown enabling Mcpeeny to counter with a crisp jab. Hayes is breathing heavily. Mcpeeny throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mcpeeny circles away from the clinch attempt and Mcpeeny counters with a lovely shot to the body. A head kick by Mcpeeny - that's a beauty! Hayes is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Mcpeeny can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). James Mcpeeny!
